Designed by an acoustician for optimized sound treatment and isolation, the studio features both a mixing room and a control room, serving artists and producers across genres.

The studio is equipped with high-quality instruments, premium microphones, and versatile gear, supporting both digital and analog (tape) setups. Natural daylight, mountain views, and outdoor access add to the relaxed, professional atmosphere.

Echo Park’s vibrant neighborhood—close to DTLA—offers plenty of food, art, and late-night options for creative breaks. Whether you’re recording a band, podcasting, shooting content, or working on ADR, The Barbershop is ready to be your next creative space.

Policies & Procedures

Studio Rules

  • Minimum booking is two hours.

  • Clients must request engineering services in advance of booking.

  • No smoking, eating, or drinking inside the studio; please use the outside deck. Clients are welcome to bring their own food and drinks for use outside.

  • Clients must treat the space, equipment, parking, and neighbors respectfully.

  • Renters are responsible for any damages caused during their session.

  • Clients are solely responsible for file storage, transfers, and backups.

  • Studio reserves the right to cancel a session if rules are disregarded.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations made 14 days or more before the booking date: Full refund or full credit toward rescheduling.

  • Cancellations made 7–13 days before the booking date:
    50% refund or full credit toward rescheduling.

  • Cancellations made less than 7 days before the booking date: Non-refundable.
